FABRIC
Once you have chosen the design and fabric of your dress, the first fitting will be in calico so that you get a good idea of the overall style of the dress wilthout having cut the real fabric. This also gives you a chance to change and improve certain aspects of the dress. Brides usually have around three or four fittings but this depends on the individual and the complexity of the gown.

N.B Unfortunately, as most fabric suppliers will not accept returns, any materials purchased must be kept and NO REFUND can be given. Therefore, I would ask that you are certain about your choice before any materials are ordered.

HELPFUL HINTS

Every time you have a fitting it would be helpful to bring the following items with you:
1. The bra that you will be wearing on your wedding day,
2. The shoes,
3. Tiara and the veil at the final fitting,
4. Bring a friend (someone whose opinion you trust),
5. Enjoy your fittings and seeing your dress/outfit evolve into the dress of your dreams,
6. Camera to take photos of the dress/outfit at each stage,
7. Necklace, earrings, etc
8. Any other items that you feel may be needed.

FITTINGS

The fittings usually take around one hour so please try to be on time. If you have to cancel an appointment please let me know as soon as possible so that your booking can be filled.

Once the calico toile has been passed and the actual dress started with the chosen fabrics you will be asked at each fitting if you are happy with the dress and if there is anything that you would like to be altered. These minor alterations can be done in the early stages.

The final fittings are usually around three weeks before the wedding. This is when the hem is pinned for the final length and the buttons and last beads are placed on the dress. Please note the following: if there are any drastic style changes or alterations which have to be made once you've had the final fitting then unfortunately I will have to make an extra charge for the time needed to make the alterations. Please bare this in mind at each fitting so that it can be amended at the early stages.
